Entering connection details

Some providers connect by having you enter their API keys or account identifiers yourself, rather than by signing in to the provider through an OAuth login window. Providers that use OAuth don't reach this screen — they're authorised in a login window on the previous screen. This screen collects those credentials and creates the connection.

Where to find it

You arrive here from Adding a payment provider when you choose a provider that connects using account details.

What you see

  • The provider's logo or name.
  • A help link to the provider's guidance, when available.
  • A connection form. The fields vary from provider to provider, because each provider asks for different details.

What you can do

CancelDiscards the details and returns to the provider list.

Things to note

  • The set of fields depends entirely on the provider you chose.
  • If you don't have permission to make changes, the form is shown read-only and can't be saved.
  • When payment setup is opened for a single provider, the breadcrumb is hidden. If that provider is already connected, you're taken to its management screen instead of this form.
