Square

Square is a payment service provider best known for combining card processing
with point-of-sale hardware, used widely by small and mid-sized merchants for
both in-person and online payments. It lets merchants accept all major card
networks through a single account, with optional ACH bank debits and in-person
acceptance via Square terminals. Square is strongest in the United States but
also operates across several other markets. Shuttle connects to Square over
OAuth, so merchants can authorise the connection by logging in to Square without
handling API credentials directly.

Payment methods

Through our Square integration, merchants can accept:

• Cards: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Diners Club, JCB, and
  UnionPay
• Bank debits: ACH (US)
• In person: Card payments taken on a Square terminal (point of sale)

ACH and Square terminal acceptance are each enabled per gateway in the Square
connection settings, and ACH must also be enabled on your Square account.
