Kount
Kount, an Equifax company, is a fraud-prevention and digital risk-screening service rather than a payment processor. It scores each transaction in real time using signals such as device, IP address, location, email, and behaviour, checked against a large global data network with machine learning, and returns an accept / decline / review decision. Merchants use Kount to reduce card-not-present fraud and chargebacks without adding friction for trusted customers. Shuttle connects to Kount with the Enterprise (RIS) API credentials you obtain from Kount or your software vendor.

What Kount does
Kount is a fraud and workflow tool, not a payment method, so there are no card, wallet, or bank-debit options to enable. Instead, Kount runs alongside your payment processing as a risk-scoring step: when a payment is submitted, Kount evaluates it and either lets it proceed, declines it, or flags it for review based on the rules configured in your Kount account.
Within Shuttle, Kount risk screening applies to Card, SEPA, and ACH payments processed through an integrated (non-hosted) flow. It does not apply to hosted or iframe-based payment processes — for example GoCardless, Mollie, PayPal, Klarna, hosted card flows such as Transbank, hosted ACH (open-banking) flows, or card forms rendered inside a third-party iframe.
