Saving a card fails with "Customer Information Manager is not enabled" (E00044)
If you see createCustomerProfileRequest failed (Customer Information Manager is not enabled. (code: E00044)) when saving a card, Customer Information Manager
(CIM) is not enabled for your Authorize.Net account.
To fix this:
- Log in to the Authorize.Net Merchant Interface (sandbox or production, as appropriate).
- Go to Account → Customer Information Manager.
- Select Sign Up or Enable if it isn't already enabled.
Once CIM is enabled, the error should stop.
Some ACH transactions are recorded as successful but did not go through
Authorize.Net does not reflect ACH declines, which must be managed off-system. See the Authorize.Net ACH declines article for details.
