Checkout

The checkout is the hosted payment page your customers reach, either embedded in your own page or opened on its own. It is where someone pays, saves a payment method without paying, or sets up a recurring or scheduled agreement, and where they see the receipt afterwards.

Because it is hosted by Shuttle, card details never touch your systems.

What you control

More here than anywhere else. Your checkout request decides the amount and whether the customer may change it, the currency, whether the payment is one-off or recurring, whether a card can be saved, which payment methods appear, whether the page is embedded or full-screen, and where the customer goes afterwards. Two merchants on your platform can present very different pages.

So read these pages as everything the checkout can show, and expect any given customer to see a subset. Each page says which part is driven by your request and which by the merchant's own configuration. The request itself is in the Checkout component and its integration guide.

How to read these pages

One page for the payment form and one for the receipt, in the order a customer meets them. Where something depends on a rule, the page links to it in Business Rules, so you can see what Shuttle will and will not accept before you build the request.
