Paysafe test cards

Use these details to try payments in a Paysafe sandbox (test) account. They work only in the sandbox: never use them in live, and never put real card or bank details into a sandbox.

Paysafe’s default test account takes card payments only, and only some card brands (Paysafe names American Express, Maestro, Mastercard, Visa and Visa Electron). Ask Paysafe Integration Support to enable other brands, and for separate test accounts for ACH and SEPA Direct Debit: one for each method and currency. Paysafe doesn’t publish test bank details for ACH or SEPA: the ACH account below is the one our own tests use.

  • For card payments, the amount sets the result: amounts under 1.00 give the declines and errors below, and 1.00 or more is approved (Simulating Card Payments). Enter the amount as you would normally, for example 0.05: we convert it to cents for Paysafe.
  • For 3D Secure, the card number sets the result (3D Secure 2 Test Cards). The checkout runs 3D Secure itself and only sends the payment to Paysafe when the card is authenticated, authentication was attempted, or the card isn’t enrolled. For a failed, rejected or unavailable result, or an error, the checkout stops the payment, so it never reaches Paysafe.
  • For address checks, keep Require address (AVS) switched on in the Paysafe connection (it’s on by default), and start billing address line 1 with the number for the result you want (Simulating AVS Responses). Always enter a postcode: in our own tests, a payment without one was declined.
  • For CVC checks, enter the CVC for the result you want (Simulating CVV Responses).
  • For ACH or SEPA, switch on Enable ACH or Enable SEPA in the Paysafe connection and enter the account ID of the separate Paysafe test account for that method (Testing Instructions).

Use any future expiry date and any three-digit CVC (four digits for American Express), unless you’re testing the CVC check below. Use an amount of at least 1.00 for a normal approval: smaller amounts trigger the results under Declines and errors.
