# Paysafe test cards

> Test card numbers and other details for Paysafe's sandbox, and the result each one gives.

Use these details to try payments in a Paysafe sandbox (test) account. They work only in the sandbox: never use them in live, and never put real card or bank details into a sandbox.

Paysafe's default test account takes card payments only, and only some card brands (Paysafe names American Express, Maestro, Mastercard, Visa and Visa Electron). Ask Paysafe Integration Support to enable other brands, and for separate test accounts for ACH and SEPA Direct Debit: one for each method and currency. Paysafe doesn't publish test bank details for ACH or SEPA: the ACH account below is the one our own tests use.

:::note[Where these details come from]
These are Paysafe's test details, not ours. They were copied from Paysafe's [Testing Instructions](https://developer.paysafe.com/en/api-docs/cards/test-and-go-live/testing-instructions/), [Test Cards](https://developer.paysafe.com/en/api-docs/cards/test-and-go-live/test-cards/), [Simulating Card Payments](https://developer.paysafe.com/en/api-docs/cards/test-and-go-live/simulating-card-payments/), [3D Secure 2 Test Cards](https://developer.paysafe.com/en/api-docs/3ds/test-and-go-live/test-cards/), [3D Secure 2 Results and Liability Shift](https://developer.paysafe.com/en/api-docs/3ds/test-and-go-live/3d-secure-2-results-and-liability-shift/), [Simulating AVS Responses](https://developer.paysafe.com/en/api-docs/cards/test-and-go-live/simulating-avs-responses/) and [Simulating CVV Responses](https://developer.paysafe.com/en/api-docs/cards/test-and-go-live/simulating-cvv-responses/) pages on 19 October 2026, and were correct on that date as far as those pages show. Paysafe can change or withdraw them at any time, and we can't confirm that they work. Check Paysafe's pages for the current details, and ask Paysafe if one doesn't behave as described.

## How to choose a test result

- For card payments, the amount sets the result: amounts under 1.00 give the declines and errors below, and 1.00 or more is approved ([Simulating Card Payments](https://developer.paysafe.com/en/api-docs/cards/test-and-go-live/simulating-card-payments/)). Enter the amount as you would normally, for example `0.05`: we convert it to cents for Paysafe.
- For 3D Secure, the card number sets the result ([3D Secure 2 Test Cards](https://developer.paysafe.com/en/api-docs/3ds/test-and-go-live/test-cards/)). The checkout runs 3D Secure itself and only sends the payment to Paysafe when the card is authenticated, authentication was attempted, or the card isn't enrolled. For a failed, rejected or unavailable result, or an error, the checkout stops the payment, so it never reaches Paysafe.
- For address checks, keep **Require address (AVS)** switched on in the [Paysafe connection](/payment-providers/paysafe-connect/) (it's on by default), and start billing address line 1 with the number for the result you want ([Simulating AVS Responses](https://developer.paysafe.com/en/api-docs/cards/test-and-go-live/simulating-avs-responses/)). Always enter a postcode: in our own tests, a payment without one was declined.
- For CVC checks, enter the CVC for the result you want ([Simulating CVV Responses](https://developer.paysafe.com/en/api-docs/cards/test-and-go-live/simulating-cvv-responses/)).
- For ACH or SEPA, switch on **Enable ACH** or **Enable SEPA** in the Paysafe connection and enter the account ID of the separate Paysafe test account for that method ([Testing Instructions](https://developer.paysafe.com/en/api-docs/cards/test-and-go-live/testing-instructions/)).

## Cards

Use any future expiry date and any three-digit CVC (four digits for American Express), unless you're testing the CVC check below. Use an amount of at least 1.00 for a normal approval: smaller amounts trigger the results under [Declines and errors](#declines-and-errors).

### Address and CVC checks

Address checks need a billing address, so switch on **Require address (AVS)** in the [Paysafe connection](/payment-providers/paysafe-connect/). By default the address check matches. To get a different result, start billing address line 1 with one of these numbers.

| Value | Result |
| --- | --- |
| Address line 1 starting `10` | Address and postcode match |
| Address line 1 starting `11` or `16` | Address matches, postcode doesn't |
| Address line 1 starting `12` or `17` | Postcode matches, address doesn't |
| Address line 1 starting `13` | Nothing matches |
| Address line 1 starting `18` | Not processed: address information unavailable |
| Address line 1 starting `15` | Unknown response from the issuer |
| CVC `111` | CVC matches |
| CVC `222` | CVC not processed |
| CVC `555` | Unknown CVC response |
| CVC `666` | CVC doesn't match |

## ACH (US bank accounts)

Paysafe doesn't publish ACH test accounts. Our own tests use this one in a Paysafe ACH test account.

| Routing number | Account number | Result |
| --- | --- | --- |
| `211589828` | `998772192` (savings) | Accepted. Used in our own tests |
