PayTomorrow test cards
Use these details to try payments in a PayTomorrow sandbox (test) account. They work only in the sandbox: never use them in live, and never put real card or bank details into a sandbox.
PayTomorrow calls its sandbox staging. Turn on the Sandbox option in the PayTomorrow gateway settings (see Connecting PayTomorrow), and check the conditions for PayTomorrow to appear at checkout in Using PayTomorrow. PayTomorrow doesn’t use test card numbers to decide the result: the customer’s details do.
How to choose a test result
Section titled “How to choose a test result”- Turn on the Sandbox option in the PayTomorrow gateway settings here, so that applications go to PayTomorrow’s staging environment.
- The last three digits of the last name set the credit score, and the score decides which lender sees the application, or whether it’s declined (Control the credit score with the last name). Other first names, SSNs and addresses trigger specific results (Special test customers).
- We send the first name, last name, email address, mobile number and shipping address from the checkout to PayTomorrow unchanged, so enter the name and address triggers (for example the last name
Testing650) in the checkout. For the12832 Hopewell Avetrigger, leave the second address line empty. - Enter the SSN, date of birth, pay schedule and verification code in PayTomorrow’s application window, not in the checkout.
- Use a new customer every time: a new email address, mobile number and SSN (Use a new customer every time).
Pay later
Section titled “Pay later”Every test application
Section titled “Every test application”Staging remembers customers, as live does. If you reuse a phone number, email address or SSN with different details, the application can be declined or sent to bank verification. Use a new customer every time:
| Field | What to enter |
|---|---|
| Email and mobile number | A new, made-up email address and mobile number every time, in the checkout |
| Verification code | Any code except 99999, in PayTomorrow’s application. Staging doesn’t send texts. |
| First name | Any made-up first name, in the checkout |
| Last name | Any made-up last name, ending in three digits to choose the credit score (see below), in the checkout |
| Address | Any made-up shipping address, in the checkout |
| SSN and pay schedule | Any made-up SSN and pay schedule, in PayTomorrow’s application |
| Date of birth | Any date that makes the customer older than 18, in PayTomorrow’s application |
| Card | 4444 3333 2222 1111, any future expiry date, CVV 123 |
Approved and declined
Section titled “Approved and declined”Staging reads the credit score from the last three digits of the last name, and the score decides which lender sees the application. The whole last name, digits included, must be longer than 4 characters (Li640 works, Li64 doesn’t).
| Last name | Credit score | Result |
|---|---|---|
Testing650 (ending 600 to 700) |
600 to 700 | Sent to PayTomorrow as the lender |
Testing550 (ending 100 to 600) |
100 to 600 | Sent to Katapult as the lender |
Testing (no digits) |
800 | Sent to Bread as the lender |
| A score below the range of every lender on your account | Declined |
You can only reach lenders that are turned on for your staging account.
