Testing Apple Pay and Google Pay
Apple Pay and Google Pay are taken through our own wallet integration, and each payment is passed to the payment provider as a network token. So the wallets work with any connected provider that supports network tokens, and you test them the same way whichever provider that is.
Real payments can’t be made through Apple Pay or Google Pay in a sandbox. Each wallet has its own test setup, below.
Switching them on
Section titled “Switching them on”At least one of the account’s connected payment providers that takes cards must support network tokens. Then:
- In Merchant Setup, open Customise Checkout. Enable Apple Pay / Google Pay support is available when a connected provider supports network tokens.
- Turn it on to show Apple Pay and Google Pay in the list of payment methods.
- If more than one connected provider supports network tokens, choose which one takes Apple Pay and Google Pay payments.
- Enter the Merchant Country / Legal Name. The legal name is shown to customers in the Apple Pay or Google Pay payment sheet.
- Save the changes.
