Merchant Portal connections

A third party can only be given access to an account the merchant has connected to their Merchant Portal login. The merchant does the connecting; your part is to allow it.

Allowing it

The option is on by default. In the Shuttle portal, open your application, then Developer, then Configure Onboarding for the environment. The setting is Hide Marketplace:

• Unticked: merchants are offered the option to connect their account to the Merchant Portal.
• Ticked: the option is hidden, and your merchants’ accounts can’t be shared.

What the merchant does

While the merchant sets up a payment processor in the Merchant Setup component, they see an option to connect the account to the Merchant Portal. Following it, they create a Merchant Portal login or log into an existing one, and the account is added to it.

Once connected, the merchant can see and manage the account in the Merchant Portal, and choose it when a third party asks for access.

A merchant can disconnect the account again from its page in the Merchant Portal (Unlink). It then no longer appears when a third party asks for access.
