Kount test cards

Kount’s test details come from Kount itself. Use them only in a sandbox (test) account: never in live, and never put real card or bank details into a sandbox.

Kount screens payments rather than taking them, so the payment itself is made with your payment provider’s sandbox and its test cards. Kount’s test environment accepts test card numbers, which fail in live.

Kount sends each merchant a boarding document with the details for its test environment. Whether Kount approves a payment, sends it to review or declines it depends on the rules set up in your Kount account, so set up rules in your Kount test account to try each result. Rules, users and API keys created in the test environment have to be set up again for live.

Our own tests with Kount’s test environment send the Visa test card 4111 1111 1111 1111, and expect Kount to approve the payment when no rule matches.

Some Kount features are limited or missing in the test environment, including scoring, order linking, device location, and address and phone validation.
