# Reset a string

`DELETE https://app.shuttleglobal.com/c/api/instances/{instance_key}/strings/{string_id}`

Removes your wording for one string in one language, so it goes back to the wording it
inherits.

`language` and `branding` must be sent as query parameters. A request body is ignored, so
leaving `language` out of the query string resets the `default` (base) wording instead.

Resetting a string that has no wording of its own is accepted and changes nothing. Resetting
every string in a language does not remove the language.

Returns 204 with no body. Read the string back to see the wording that now applies.

## Authentication
