# Mollie test cards

> Test card numbers and other details for Mollie's sandbox, and the result each one gives.

Use these details to try payments in a Mollie sandbox (test) account. They work only in the sandbox: never use them in live, and never put real card or bank details into a sandbox.

In test mode, Mollie shows a test checkout screen in place of its normal hosted checkout. On that screen you choose the result of the payment (for example, paid or failed), so you can try each outcome without spending money.

These are Mollie's test details, not ours. They were copied from Mollie's [Testing](https://docs.mollie.com/reference/testing) page on 19 October 2026, and were correct on that date as far as that page shows. Mollie can change or withdraw them at any time, and we can't confirm that they work. Check Mollie's page for the current details, and ask Mollie if one doesn't behave as described.

## How to choose a test result

- You choose the result yourself: in test mode Mollie replaces its hosted checkout with a test screen where you pick the final payment status, for example paid or failed ([Testing](https://docs.mollie.com/reference/testing)).
- For a specific card failure reason, pay one of the amounts below in EUR and choose failed on the test screen ([Testing](https://docs.mollie.com/reference/testing)). We send Mollie the amount as you enter it, so type it in euros, for example `1001.00`. Mollie only supports EUR in test mode.
- The card number only changes the logo shown: Mollie processes every test card as Mastercard ([Testing](https://docs.mollie.com/reference/testing)).
- Saving a payment method here goes through the same test screen, with a 1.00 verification payment that is refunded within 48 hours: choose paid to save it.

## Cards

Use any expiry date and any CVC. Mollie says it only supports EUR for testing.

These numbers show the right card logo at checkout, but Mollie processes every test card payment as Mastercard.

### Declines and errors

To get a specific failure reason, pay this amount in EUR, then choose to fail the payment on Mollie's test checkout screen.

## Other payment methods

Mollie doesn't publish test details for its other methods, such as iDEAL, Bancontact and bank transfer. It says most test mode payments go through the same test checkout screen, where you choose the result instead of paying.
